The Queretaro State Education Secretariat (SEDEQ) announced that all schools in the entity will continue to operate normally during the 2026 World Cup, including the upcoming June 11 inauguration. The state agency highlighted that academic activities will take place regularly in different educational levels, considering that the sporting event represents an opportunity to strengthen learning processes within the classrooms. According to SEDEQ, the enthusiasm generated by the World Cup can be used to promote educational experiences related to values such as healthy coexistence, respect, teamwork, inclusion, and discipline. Additionally, it noted that the tournament offers the possibility of linking academic content with geography, history, general culture, and social context of participating countries, fostering curiosity, analysis, and contextual learning among students. The agency emphasized that, under a scheme of responsibility with families, those who decide to share the inaugural match from home can count on the understanding and flexibility of school administrators, prioritizing the well-being and formation of students at all times. Finally, the Education Secretariat reiterated that international events of great scope can become pedagogical and social integration tools, contributing to the integral development of girls, boys, adolescents, and young people within the school environment.
