Querétaro's schedule for the Apertura 2026 has been adjusted. Liga BBVA MX announced that the round 11 match against Atlante, originally set for Friday, October 9 at 7:00 PM, has been moved to Saturday, October 10 at 5:00 PM at Estadio La Corregidora.
The league made the announcement via its social media channels. "La LIGA BBVA MX informa que el partido correspondiente a la Jornada 11 del Torneo Apertura 2026, entre @Club_Queretaro y @Atlante," the official statement said, confirming the new date and time for the fixture.
Round 11 context
This change comes at a key moment for the team managed by Mauro Gerk. Querétaro enters this stage of the tournament sitting fifth in the overall table with 14 points, from four wins, two draws, and two losses. Their last result was a 1-1 draw against León last Saturday, with a goal from Iker Benito Sánchez. The team is on a two-match unbeaten run, with a DDWWL form in their last five outings.
Meanwhile, Atlante also comes from a 1-1 draw in their last match, against Puebla, setting the stage for a tight contest at La Corregidora. The match represents an opportunity for the Gallos Blancos to add valuable points at home and stay in the upper reaches of the standings, five points behind leaders Toluca.
Next steps
Before thinking about Atlante, Querétaro has an immediate and demanding commitment. This Thursday, September 26, they visit second-placed Chivas de Guadalajara in a match that will test their ambition. The squad, which can be viewed on our squad page, features top scorer S. Homenchenko, who has four goals in eight appearances this season.
After that clash, the team will have a break before hosting the Potros de Hierro. The date change for the October 10 match grants an extra day of preparation, a detail the coaching staff will certainly value in a phase of the tournament where every point matters. The full schedule for the final stretch of the Apertura is available on our fixtures page.
