Barça Academy is expanding its presence in Mexico with the launch of its second residency in Querétaro, which will begin operations in September 2027. The new initiative will start its activity next summer with the residential Summer Camps and from October 2026, tryouts will begin to select resident players. From September 2027, the residential project will start with students residing throughout the year. This project will coexist with the Barça Academy Querétaro, inaugurated in July 2024, aimed at players aged 6 to 18 and without a residential character. The Barça Academy Residency Querétaro will be based on three fundamental pillars for its development and guarantee of correct functioning with the blue and grenadine standards. The first pillar is the methodology of play and training of Barça, which will be led by a technical director sent from Barcelona, guaranteeing the recognizable model of the Club. The second pillar will be the academic formation of all athletes in an international school homologated by the educational authorities of the United States and Canada. The third basic point of the project will be a first-level residence focused on the integral development of the athlete. The Barça Academy Residency Querétaro will have three teams in the first phase. A team with players born in 2012, another in 2013, and the last format for those born in 2014. The number of places will be limited, and the most talented players will opt for scholarships for their stay.
