The Real Madrid Foundation launched its first educational football program in Querétaro, with the participation of over 300 young people. The goal is to promote integral formation through football and the values of the sport. The program will be developed in partnership with True Sport, a partner of the Foundation in Mexico, Ciudad Maderas as a sponsor, and with the support of the Secretariat of Social Development of the State of Querétaro (SEDESOQ) and the Municipality of Querétaro. More than 300 girls, boys and young people between 12 and 15 years old are already participating in this program, which offers two weekly training sessions under the educational methodology of the Real Madrid Foundation, based on the transmission of values through sport. The goal is to reach 600 participants by the end of the season. The inauguration ceremony took place at the Parque Alfalfares, the official headquarters of the program in Querétaro. It was attended by Andrés Muntaner, director of Campus and Clinics of the Real Madrid Foundation; Elizandra Bonatto, executive director of True Sports; Laura de Jury, president of the Ciudad Maderas Foundation; Perla Mascareño, representative of Ciudad Maderas; Luis Nava Guerrero, secretary of Social Development of the State; and Felipe Fernando Macías Olvera, municipal president of Querétaro. During the event, the representatives highlighted the educational and social value of the program. Andrés Muntaner said: “The goal of the program is to educate and form, contributing to the students being better citizens and enjoying the journey”. For her part, Elizandra Bonatto stated: “We come here to form people and to transfer the values of the Real Madrid Foundation”. The Real Madrid Foundation reinforces its commitment in Mexico, where similar educational programs are already being developed in Nuevo León, Quintana Roo and Chihuahua, in partnership with True Sport and various local partners.
